Calling all Guys!!
The guys will be getting together for a fall cleanup and "winterizing" party. Brian VanderKolk will be the organizer for this one. He's going to get a list of things that need to be done from Jeff, equipment that should be brought, and set a date. Keep checking this post for more information.
Also, Kraig Meyer has volunteered to snowplow for the winter. What a blessing for the Westra's! Thanks so much!
Dan Bergman's in, he's the one that gave me this GREAT idea. Brittany, you are making the rest of us girls look bad :) Actually, I bet the guys will see a little of the Hope College Pull Coach come out in you. Oh boy, are they in trouble :)
Dan Heasley is in for sure. He will bring a bagger for the mower. Also, recent winds have blown over the swing set and knocked the slide off. One of you handy guys can fix it I'm sure :)
Hey all, it's been amazing how family, friends, and neighbors have been helping out! Jeff had several ideas in mind to work on, but he would get home and find them already complete!
I bugged him about it and he was able to come up with a couple of projects. We are estimating it will only take a couple hours if we have several guys show up. Scheduling this is a bit tricky, I was hoping for this Saturday but I have a commitment in mid-day and in the evening. Does Saturday (11/21) work for any of you in the morning, maybe around 9:00 am? Otherwise I could fit it in maybe around 3:00-ish pm. I don't think anything is urgent, so if this week doesn't fit schedules, maybe next Saturday would be better. Let me know what you think. We just want to get to it before the snow flies!
My cell is (616) 403-1563 if you have questions / comments. Otherwise you can post here as well.
We've chosen Saturday morning, 11/21 at 8:30 to meet at the Westra's house for some fall clean-up. We're estimating it may only take around 2 hours, depending on how many people can make it.
We're going to do some tree trimming, and Bill H. and Mark W. have already volunteered their extension ladders. Jeff suggested it would be helpful if you could bring along a broom - I think there's a bunch of sweeping we're going to be doing. We'll need a chainsaw as well, but Jeff thought he had access to one. If anyone happens to have one available, that might be good as a back-up.
Let's get together tomorrow and have fun while helping Jeff and Nicki out! See you there!
Welcome!! We are a group of friends and family members that care deeply about Melanie Grace and her family. Keeping Melanie and her parents in your prayers is the number one way to become one of her Angels. If you would like to help in other ways, please send an email to melaniesangels@charter.net
Just let us know how you would like to help, your phone number, email address, and street address. We will confirm with you on the date. Thanks in advance.
I will be able to help, and Brittany might be able to too, depending on the day!
ReplyDeleteBill Huber is in as well.
